ARMAN
17th Nov. 1928 born in Nizza. Lives in France and New York. One of the founders
of the Nouveaux Réalistes. Arman became well known in the Sixties especially
for his „accumulations“, collections of several objects of the same
kind, such as milk-cans, hairslides, bottle-caps. The monument in the „Giardino“
- „Monument der Sesshaftigkeit“ (monument for settlers) - is a tower
constructed of old ploughs and may be regarded as one of Arman´s “accumulations”. www.armanstudio.com
