Many people didn’t like it when Spoerri turned to the classical material bronze, but he wanted to put something in opposition to the material character of the mainly old objects he used and to point to the homogenous form, i.e. let the assemblages appear clearly as sculptures. The first bronze sculpture was “Santo Grappa”.

Today the oeuvre covers almost 70 pieces, most of which can be seen in the Tuscan sculpture park „Il Giardino“ zu sehen sind.
