Together with Marie-Louise Plessen, Spoerri traveled through Brittany looking for mineral springs and wells that were said to have healing qualities. Aside from a collection of 117 water samples (cf. > Collections) that were filled into little bottles and put in rows on shelves (one of these collections is at Chateau d’Oiron), a book was put together with descriptions of each spring and the corresponding customs that residents could still give account of. 3000 copies of the book were printed and couldn’t be bought in book-stores, but instead traded for a book of one’s own choice. – The account of the journey appeared in 2004 in French.
